LISSMAC Transforms Industrial Machinery with CODESYS and Smart Touch Panels

LISSMAC , a German expert in high-end metal deburring and industrial machinery, has partnered with Christ Electronic Systems to develop a next-generation Touch Panel based on Linux and CODESYS. This collaboration aims to modernize the user experience, fully support Industry 4.0, and reduce dependency on single-source hardware.
This new system utilizes CODESYS as the Visualization Platform, connecting to existing Siemens PLCs via OPC UA. This architecture enables the development of Modern UI/UX, Remote Monitoring, Smart Service, and Digital Maintenance—all while maintaining the machine’s original PLC infrastructure.
